No, wait, that's not right (well actually it is, but we
can't sell wine !
What we can, and DO sell at this special time of year is
Olio Novello, Italy's contribution to the festive
celebration of the olive harvest.
When olive growers press (or as some olive oil producers
say - 'squeeze' ) olives and then immediately bottle the
result, what you have is a fresh, unfiltered, non-decanted
juice, that happens to be olive oil.
But not just any oil, because Olio Novello is that
wonderfully bright, snappy and assertive olive oil that we
get so excited about every year at this time.
While other olive oil is put to 'rest' for several months
in the traditional manner, to meld its flavours and
establish its sense of place for itself, Olio Novello is
ready-to-go, brash and smart, lively and bold.
We have been loving this seasonal phenomenon for many
years, in fact, we have made such a furor about this
special oil that many of you eagerly await its arrival
every year with the same excitement that you have for our
spring green tea arrivals or the panforte, panettone and
gelt of the winter holiday season (see below).

The Holiday
Season is Here!
 We
have fantastic unique & special foodstuffs again for the
2007 Holiday Season.
Many of our products are purchased by us on a
made-to-order basis, so they sell out very quickly.
Don't miss out on your favorite treats - almost everything
is in stock now for the holidays, and supplies of quite a
few items are limited.
Both the dark and traditional milk chocolate gelt is
moving quickly.
The traditionally-last-minute Italian specialities are
here - panforte, panettone, torrone, giandujia, etc.
We have the most outrageous Sicilian torrone this year -
it is in the form of a large 'cake' that has been sliced
into wedges - either fruit & nut, or chocolate with nuts -
wow this is delicious!
Perfect with it is a cup of our delicious Holiday Blend
2007 coffee. This year we have made a masterful blend of
Ethiopian Djimmah (roasted two ways) and Kenya AA - a
twist on one of our old favorites from the 1970's: 'Mocha
Kenya'.
