We're so
Excited!
The
response to our newly-released book:
The Story of Tea,
A Cultural History and Drinking Guide
published by Ten Speed Press (October 2007)
has truly been wonderful. It is our goal to share the
diverse world of specialty tea with enthusiasts
everywhere, and so far the feedback that we have received
tells us that we are connecting with both interested food
readers and commited tea drinkers who appreciate great tea
and want to know more about this fascinating plant, the
beverage we make from it, and the culture that has
surrounded it for thousands of years.
Today, The New York Times is featuring a review of our
book, written by Asian scholar, food writer and our
colleague Nina Simonds. This review is in the Dining
In/Dining Out section (also known as the Food Section)
For those of you who don't have access to The New York
Times on the newstand, our book's review is available
on-line by following this link:
Lessons from the Professors
of Tea
(pdf)
or Nina's website:

Unlocking the Secrets of Tea
(video interview & story of tea review)
Additionally, Nina was so excited about our enthusiasm
for tea that she came back to visit us again several weeks
after her initial visit to interview us for the New York
Times piece. She, along with her videographer Steve
Garfield, came to film a video with us about tea. (He also
took this great photo of us)
This video is viewable as well by following the links on
either our site, her site, or the link that is provided on
the page with the story about us in the New York Times.
