Esteemed Treasure is a tea that was revealed to us on our most recent trip to China.

It is the result of a pain-staking effort by the tea research institute to develop a hybrid that has the full flavor of a mature tea bush’s leaf with the clean, elegant, fresh-green taste of the leaf of a new, young bush.

The researchers were very excited about this new hybrid and were anxious to hear what we thought about their prized product. Needless to say, we think this tea is grand, and are proud to offer it as part of our catalog.

Esteemed Treasure is a fantastic green tea for those who might be hesitant to try green tea or are not yet enthralled with the characteristics of some of the more distinctive varieties. Esteemed Treasure has a lush flavor and is not astringent at all. We think that it fulfills the objective of combining the best of the old and the new, all together in one great leaf.
