Many
distinctively-scented flowers are used to scent tea.
The base tea for these scented teas can be black tea,
oolong, white tea, and even occasionally green tea.
Flowers used range from the classic and familiar
rose-scented black tea to the
less-well-known-in-the-west osmanthus (sweet almond),
yulan, and magnolia-scented oolongs.
For the cherry blossom festivals In early spring in
Japan, sencha that has been scented with cherry
blossoms is offered as the delicious and celebratory
Sencha Sakura. Tea enthusiasts enjoy this
finely-scented tea in anticipation of a good harvest
in the up-coming tea season.
Here at Tea Trekker, we offer several unusual scented
teas, both seasonal and year-round, for the tea
enthusiast. The selection will vary, so check back
occasionally to see what we have discovered from time
to time.
