Did you see
the movie" Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"?
The bamboo forest scenes were shot close to where this
tea thrives. The day we visited we almost didn't take
the cable car ride across the valley because it was so
rainy & overcast. We were glad that we did though,
because the sun broke through midway across the
valley, and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The
mist started to rise and we were treated to a true
"clouds and mist" tea experience.
Bamboo Tips tea is extremely special, coming from such
a unique growing region. Brews a clear, crisp cup,
with hints of the richly-misted forest; this is an
enthusiast's tea. Rarely available outside China, this
yellow tea is a treat.
Yellow teas are processed using the same techniques as
for spring green teas, with the addition of an unusual
"resting period" early-on in the processing. This
extra step ensures a super fresh flavor and prevents
any "grassy" or astringent qualities from developing.
If you enjoy drinking excellent 'soft-style' spring
green teas and lush white tea, Bamboo Tips should be a
part of your tea-drinking repertoire...
Steep 2-3
infusions at 2 minutes each.
Water temperature should be 160˚ - 170˚ F |
