While white
tea seems to be made just about everywhere these days,
Fujian Province is the historic home to this rare and
special tea. Traditional white tea is made from
the budset-only of a sub-variety of Camellia sinensis
that is indigenous to parts of Fujian Province, where
this tea has been made for over 200 years. The
techniques used by these experienced tea farmers
result in a very delicious taste experience.
We recently
tasted, and then purchased at auction, a very tasty
white tea from Nilgiri, India that we think has
exceptional style and represents the profile of
"modern" white tea.
